The Kansas City Chiefs are riding the wave of their 2024 Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Kansas got the opportunity to go to the White House and meet President Joe Biden. Moreover, star tight end Travis Kelce went viral over a hilarious moment he had with the president during an address.

Joe Biden poked fun at Kelce, saying he would invite the tight end to the podium but was not sure what he would say. Biden gave in and told Kelce to come up, to which Kelce gave a comical greeting.

“My fellow Americans, it’s nice to see you all yet again. Um, I’m not gonna lie, President Biden, they told me I’d get tased if came up here so I’m gonna go back to my spot, alright?” Kelce said before smiling and shaking Biden’s hand, per New Heights.

The star tight end’s interaction sparked a host of intriguing social media reactions, highlighted by his brother Jason Kelce.

“Man, I’m not gonna lie, that was tight. Well done [Travis Kelce], doesn’t get much cooler than that!” Kelce posted on X.

Here are some other notable reactions:

“Hilarious, yet so respectful at the same time. Wonderful,” one X user said.

“Game recognize game!” another said.

“Wow, Travis seemed a bit nervous. It’s like he was afraid of being tased for real,” another user said alongside a laughing emoji.

Travis Kelce’s interaction with Joe Biden seemed to entertain several people, including the president himself. Biden could not help but smile and giggle at Kelce’s commentary. The Chiefs’ White House visit was just the cherry on top of their 2023-24 season.

Chiefs cap off stellar 2023-24 season, prepare for 3-peat

Kansas City finished their 2023-24 campaign with an 11-6 record. The team battled through a mid-season slump but bounced back to make the NFL Playoffs as an AFC Wild Card. The Chiefs battled through the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens to advance to Super Bowl 58.

KC continued their momentum and beat the 49ers 25-23 for their third championship in five years. The win marked the team as one of the most notable dynasties in NFL history. Travis Kelce was a huge part of the Chiefs’ success. He amassed 964 yards and five touchdowns on 93 receptions during the 2023-24 season. The 34-year-old was huge in the postseason as a go-to target for star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes had a stout regular season as well, throwing for 4,183 yards and 27 TDs. Like Kelce, he was clutch in the postseason. Furthermore, Mahomes made a big statement during Kansas City’s championship parade in February. He confidently reassured fans that the team’s Super Bowl three-peat was underway.

“We appreciate everything ya’ll do…we know we had to go on the road last year, but I promise you next year we’ll be at home. We’re going for that three-peat so don’t get it twisted. We’re doing it. Three times, the first time in NFL history. Love ya’ll,” Mahomes said, per Adam Schefter.

The trio of Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Andy Reid have been stellar for Kansas City. Will the squad return to the White House in 2025 after another championship?
