In his lone season in the NBA with the Warriors, Mannion averaged 4.1 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 30 games and 12.1 minutes per game.
He then sought a bigger role with overseas teams in Europe, mainly in his mother’s native Italy (and which also allowed him to play for the Italian national basketball team). He spent last season with Varese in Lega Basket Serie A, Italy’s top professional league, where he averaged 20.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 2.4 steals, on a 41/37/91 shooting split.
Tendering a qualifying offer to Mannion opens the door for a potential return to the NBA with the team that drafted him 48th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft.
