The legendary partnership of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Steve Kerr that saw four NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors looks to be coming to an end as we know it. On the second day of free agency, Thompson is reportedly set to leave the Bay Area for the first time in his career to join Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN and multiple other reports, Thompson is signing a three-year, $50 million contract with the Western Conference defending champion Mavericks as part of a multi-team sign-and-trade that includes the Charlotte Hornets.

Since being drafted in the first round of the 2011 NBA draft out of Washington State, Thompson has spent 13 seasons with the Warriors, winning four titles, playing in five All-Star games and earning two All-NBA team nods. Thompson trails only his “Splash Brother” Curry on Golden State’s franchise All-Time made 3-point field goal list. Thompson ranks in the top five and top 10 of multiple franchise record books with the Warriors.

Following the news of Thompson leaving the Warriors to reportedly sign with the Mavericks, the NBA community on Twitter exploded with reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Twitter on Monday.
