More details are emerging about the Hallmark Channel’s new Christmas movie “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story,” which is currently being filmed in and around the Kansas City area — and at Arrowhead Stadium.

Head coach Andy Reid, right guard Trey Smith, wide receiver Mecole Hardman, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and defensive end George Karlaftis — along with other members of the Kansas City Chiefs — are appearing in the film.

Starring Hunter King, Tyler Hines and Ed Begley Jr., the movie will tell the fictional story of Alana Higman (played by King), who believes her family’s history as Chiefs superfans will help them win the team’s “Fan of the Year” contest. But when she meets the team’s Director of Fan Engagement (portrayed by Hines), a romantic spark between them is ignited. Begley appears as the fan family’s patriarch.

Diedrich Bader, Megyn Price, Richard Riehle and Christine Ebersole will also be featured in the film.

Directed by John Putch from a script by Julie Sherman Wolfe, the movie will premiere during the Hallmark Channel’s 15th “Countdown to Christmas” event in December.
