Mike Dunleavy expects Steph Curry to be a ‘Warrior for life’
Steph Curry has been with the Golden State Warriors since 2009. He has helped lead them to four championships. He is among the most dominant guards in the history of the NBA. And, at 36 years old, he’s still one of the best shooters on the planet. As such, the Warriors are expected to negotiate a contract extension with the veteran superstar.
During a recent interview, Warriors General Manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. admitted that Curry could get ‘whatever he wants’ from the franchise and that he will likely retire as a one-team player when he does eventually decide to call time on his career.
“All that stuff will get figured out, and I think Steph will be—I’d say, pretty confident he’ll be a Warrior for life,” Dunleavy said.
Curry still has enough left in the tank to help spearhead another push for a championship. The Warriors have done a good job of re-tooling the roster during the summer, however they must try and address the lack of size in the front court.

Curry still has two seasons remaining on his current four-year $215 million deal. It will be interesting to see what his next contract looks like, as it could potentially take him into his 40s.
