2024 expectations for Cowboys RG Zack Martin
The expectation from fans is that Martin will again play at the All-Pro level they are accustomed to seeing, at minimum a deserving Pro Bowl level and not one where he’d make the team based on reputation. After all, the only time he didn’t make First-Team (7x) or Second-Team (2x) All-Pro was the injury year of 2020.
However Martin will now had to initiate a new center to his left, and that could be a third-round rookie if Cooper Beebe beats out young veteran Brock Hoffman. He may also have to compensate for right tackle Terence Steele again, whose down 2023 was hopefully all attributable to rushing back from a late-2022 ACL injury.
Martin is the elder statesman of a line that is now ridiculously young and the expectation is that he at least has one more season of greatness in him or else protections may fall apart.
