Justin Madubuike makes NFL Top 100 after breakout 2023 season
The final tabulation of the 2023 season has been airing on NFL+ as they count down the NFL Top 100 Players of 2024. The first Raven to be recognized as one of the best among their peers is defensive lineman Justin Madubuike, placing No. 61.
Madubuike flat-out dominated in 2023, with 38 tackles, 33 quarterback hits, 13 sacks, 12 tackles for loss and a forced fumble. His play earned second team All-Pro honors and sent him to his first Pro Bowl.
With Madubuike’s breakout occurring during a contract year, the interior rusher generated leverage in contract negotiations, ultimately netting him a four-year, $98 million deal with $70.5 million in total guarantees.
On the horizon now for Madubuike is repeating his success.
“[My sacks goal is] definitely double digits for sure. I know I’m that type of player,” Madubuike said on Saturday. “I know I expect highly of myself and I have to hold myself to that standard. Just taking it one day at a time. Staying present and put the work in.”
