Noah Lyles is down for a race against Tyreek Hill but has given a list of conditions before he takes it to the track with the Miami Dolphins receiver.
Newly-crowned Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles has given detail of conditions for him to race Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill.
In an interview with NBC Sport, Lyles noted that there has to be a sponsor willing to invest millions in the race as both Hill and himself have worked hard to earn names for themselves.
He explained that Hill would have to race against him in the men’s 100m and not the 50m as the NFL player had suggested in a tweet.
“I mean if somebody wants to sponsor the event and we’re racing for millions of dollars and it’s on a track and we’re running 100 meters, then sure, we can race,” Lyles said.
“But it has to be legit, I’m not here to do gimmicks. You’re racing against a guy who has worked his whole life to get the title of ‘the world’s fastest man’ and you’ve worked to be a great football player,” he added.
The triple world 200m champion made it clear that he is not out to play games and Hill should come out and note if he really wants a race against him.

“You can’t just jump the line because you’re a great football player. Again I’m not here to do gimmicks. You want to challenge me, ‘the world’s fastest man,’ if you want to challenge that, you have to challenge that in his event,” he said.
The beef between Hill and Lyles started when a journalist asked the 30-year-old about his thoughts on Lyles’ statement about ‘NBA world champions’ at the 2023 World Championships.
“You know the thing that hurts me the most is that I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have ‘world champion’ on their head. World champion of what? The United States? Don’t get me wrong, I love the U.S., at times, but that ain’t the world,” Lyles said at the time.
