Stephen Curry ‘Can Do No Wrong’
They say you can’t have it all, then there is Stephen Curry. Aside from owning four NBA championship rings, two regular season MVP awards (one unanimous), one NBA Finals MVP, and a long list of other accolades, he also has a lovely family. What else can a guy ask for in his thirties? Well, how about a killer golf game? In an unfair world, the man with everything has more than legendary players like Michael Jordan.
A 2023 American Century Championship winner and experience playing on prestigious courses in Augusta National and Cypress Point, Curry has a shot at playing golf professionally when he hangs up his basketball sneakers.
New York Knicks All-Star Jalen Brunson recently commented on the best NBA golfers, and naturally, Curry’s name came up first.
“Everyone knows Steph is the GOAT for sure. He can do no wrong,” Brunson said.
After mentioning Curry, Brunson had to ask Knicks teammate Josh Hart, “Who else golfs in the NBA?” before coming up with Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves.
Curry’s elite golf game is so magical that it mesmerized Brunson, who lost track of a name to pit against the two-sport star. For a player to retire from one sport and professionally compete is one thing, but to do both at a high level speaks to Curry’s greatness.
However, before Curry hangs up the jersey for a polo shirt, the Warriors need their superstar to escape the basketball purgatory that is the Play-In Tournament.
Curry’s 2023-24 campaign saw the superstar average 26 points per contest, naturally on above-average shooting metrics.
