Stephen Curry Dominating Two Consecutive Decades
Stephen Curry dominated the 2010s for five seasons, leading the NBA in 3-point shots made. Aside from shooting marks, the Golden State Warriors achieved
championship success in three years during the 2010s. Despite playing on the wrong side of 30, Curry is still the best shooter of the 2020s. Many players and analysts call him the greatest shooter of all time, with a recent stat driving home the claim.
Kirk Goldsberry is an elite statistician. While being a former ESPN employee illuminates your resume, holding a vice president title for the San Antonio Spurs wipes the floor with many sports media members’ job histories. Regarding NBA stats, Goldberry does an exceptional job at capturing the essence of a stat.
Curry is no stranger to leading 3-point shooting stats. Still, to dominate a stat for a decade-plus speaks volumes about how Curry defines the 3-point shooting boom. Moreover, Curry isn’t merely a 3-point wonder, as his jump shots rank the highest regardless of the area attempted.
Since 2020, Curry has led the NBA in jump shots attempted per game, coinciding with points per shot on jumpers.
While Miami Heat sharpshooter Duncan Robinson is second regarding points per jump shot, his volume pales compared to Phoenix Suns Kevin Durant. Nonetheless, no matter where they finish, they fall behind Curry.
While it’s one thing to claim Curry as the best based on otherworldly highlights, it’s hard to argue with such stats, especially with such a marksman behind the four-time NBA champion.

For as great as those stats are, though, Curry would rather win another championship, especially after missing the playoffs for the third time since 2020.
