Daddy’s Heroic Moment: Nikola Jokic Charms Fans with Heartwarming Playtime with His Adorable Daughter at the Hockey Game
Colorado Avalanche fans were in for a surprise Tuesday night when Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokić and his 2-year-old daughter Ognjena showed up to Ball Arena to watch a game against the Vancouver Canucks.
During the second period, the in-arena cameras shown on the Jumbotron panned to Jokić, whose daughter was clapping along as the crowd chanted, “MVP!”
What a special moment.
The star center of the Denver Nuggets showed his support for his sister KSE team, clapping and cheering with his daughter Ognjena.
Jokic has regularly attended Avs games, and as he was already worked in the building and only a few hallways away, it must have been straightforward for him to ask his supervisor for a glass seat. Jokic has also appeared at games for the KSE-owned Los Angeles Rams, an NFL franchise.
Jokic’s days in Denver must’ve gotten him into hockey a bit considering there’s only been one notable NHL player from his home country of Serbian—Ivan Boldirev.
The Avs are looking for their second-straight home win on Tuesday after a long tough road trip on the east coast.
