Bronny James’ latest team draft betting odds, position, and round

The overall quality of this year’s NBA Draft is not up to the normal standard of what an NBA draft has been. That has to have been a factor in why Bronny James has decided to stay in the NBA Draft, despite not looking completely ready based on time missed due to his heart condition. Where can Bronny end up, and is it reasonable to just assume he will end up on the Lakers with LeBron James? There is talent in Bronny and he has a lot to like physically where he is 6’4″ and weighs 210 pounds. In his first and only season at USC, he averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 36.6% from the field. He is also supposedly playing well at the NBA Draft Combine and turning a few heads with NBA Scouts.

There is an added factor to Bronny James’ draft decision with LeBron. Bronny is the future, but the speculation is that he will go wherever his dad goes and vice versa, which is why there is more speculation that there’s a chance it might not be the Lakers at all.

Here are the most likely options for where Bronny James could get drafted via Bovada:

Los Angeles Lakers (+155): This is the obvious choice. He is already in Los Angeles coming from USC and his family lives there due to LeBron James playing for the Lakers. This is the easiest and most obvious choice because of the outside factors. It makes sense for the Lakers to draft him and try and keep LeBron happy as long as possible because he does not have much time left in the league. Bronny James has potential in the league, especially as a decent perimeter defender, which is an area that a team like the Lakers could always use extra help with. This is the most perfect match and with Bronny playing well at the combine it is not out of the realm of possibility that he can get drafted, not just signed by the Lakers.

New York Knicks (+1400): This is the only other choice when it comes to a package deal with both Bronny and LeBron because New York is the only other city where the spotlight is as big or even bigger than Los Angeles. LeBron James was rumored to want to get traded to the Knicks earlier this season when it seemed like the sky was falling for the Lakers. LeBron is someone that embraces the spotlight and Bronny would also embrace the opportunity to play in the biggest city in the United States. This only makes sense as a package deal because of the earlier LeBron rumors surrounding New York. It is not impossible, but it is unlikely, especially if the Lakers want not just Bronny, but want to resign LeBron.

Cleveland Cavaliers (+1400): This is only an option as a homecoming for both LeBron James and Bronny James. The Cavaliers are the storybook ending for LeBron James and it would allow Bronny to grow up and thrive where his dad made a name for himself and brought the city its first overall championship since the 1960s. The Cavaliers have talent right now with Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen. There might have to be a trade worked out for this to happen, but it is feasible and not impossible.

What’s Next?

Bronny James is most likely going to follow in the footsteps of his dad and do what he does. Bronny has talent, but he is raw because he did not play much college basketball last year, and when he did he was okay at best. He can be a solid defender and competent on offense, but it is going to take some time and it helps that he has the most powerful player in the NBA as a dad to help him out.
