CeeDee Lamb Has Honest Admission About Dak Prescott’s New Contract

It took them much more time and money than it should’ve, but the Dallas Cowboys have their two most important offensive pieces locked in for years to come.

CeeDee Lamb skipped training camp and the preseason until he got the deal he was deserving of.

Dak Prescott, on the other hand, made the most of his leverage and the team’s unwillingness to engage in serious contract talks with him.

He’s now the highest-paid quarterback in NFL history, and you can’t blame him for maximizing his value.

When asked about that, Lamb admitted that it was always the plan.

Talking to Kay Adams on her Up & Adams Show, the All-Pro wideout admitted that they were in constant communication throughout the entire process, as they always wanted to stay together.

Lamb stated that they both care and want what’s best for one another.

Also, getting some sort of certainty that Prescott would stay there was also a big factor in his decision to sign a contract extension, as they share the same love and passion for the game of football.

More than that, Lamb claimed that he didn’t want to go through the quarterback carousel.

At the end of the day, the Cowboys managed to keep both of their guys for years to come.

Whether that will translate into some sort of postseason success remains to be seen, as Prescott has starred in some well-documented meltdowns.

However, if he plays anything like he did in the season opener, they should be in the conversation to make the Super Bowl.
