Kansas City Chiefs: Derrick Nnadi, DT

Derrick Nnadi quickly established himself on the Kansas City defense as a rookie in 2018. For a few seasons, he was a solid player, too. Nnadi’s impact has steadily dipped over the last two years, however. The position’s lack of depth should keep him in the lineup, but expectations for Nnadi should be relatively low.

Rodgers had one of the best rounds of the day with an overall score of 24, more than doubling his overall score from the previous two days. The New York Jets quarterback finished in 15th place with an overall total of 46 points in the modified Stableford event. In Stableford formats, positive overall scores are better than negatives.

Kelce, by contrast, saw his game completely fall apart on the final day of the tournament. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end wound up falling all the way to 63rd place after a -11 score.

The Nickelodeon Orange Blimp Award is finally associated with the Kansas City Chiefs. Travis Kelce took home the honor of ‘Favorite Male Sports Star’ at the 2024 Kids Choice Awards on Saturday.

The Pro Bowl tight end was not in attendance to accept his award due to his ongoing participation at the American Century Championship golf tournament in Lake Tahoe. SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star hosted the annual award show, which was controlled by kids’ votes. Kelce was nominated for the award for the first time in his career and successfully won over kids worldwide.

Trading Sneed brought netted the Chiefs a third-round pick, which is what they might have gotten as a compensatory pick if he left as a free agent in 2025.

Meanwhile, the move should be considered a big win for the Titans. Sneed was easily the best cornerback to change teams this offseason, and the Titans had plenty of cap space to sign him to a four-year, $76.4 million extension.

At this stage of the Titans’ rebuild, getting a bona fide difference-maker for a third-round pick is a no-brainer.

Nikko Remigio

An undrafted free agent signee last offseason, Remigio was in the midst of a solid training camp when a shoulder injury ended his campaign early. Prior to joining Kansas City, Remigio was a four-year contributor (largely as a return man) at the University of California before transferring to Fresno State for the 2022 campaign. He made the most of his fifth year, too, tallying career-bests in receptions (74), receiving yards (852) and receiving touchdowns (6). Remigio was also tied for the FBS lead with two punt return touchdowns.

Now healthy, Remigio was one of the standouts of offseason practices with several notable moments throughout, and he’ll have an opportunity to build on that success during camp.

Harrison Butker issued a response to a dig tennis legend Serena Williams made at the Kansas City Chiefs kicker while she hosted the 2024 ESPY Awards on Thursday. Butker called Williams a “great host” but said she used the event as an “opportunity to disinvite” those with whom she disagrees.

Williams discussed the year in women’s sports onstage with sister Venus Williams and “Abbott Elementary” star Quinta Brunson. Venus told the audience to “go ahead and enjoy women’s sports, like you would any other sports, because they are sports.”

Serena then added, “Except you, Harrison Butker. We don’t need you.”

Jacoby Jones, former Ravens, Texans wide receiver, dead at 40 | USA Today

Jacoby Jones, a former wide receiver and kick returner with the Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans and two other NFL teams, has died, the Ravens announced Sunday. He was 40 years old.

“We are completely heartbroken to learn about the passing of Jacoby Jones,” the team said in a statement posted on social media. “Jacoby had the unique ability to connect with everyone he encountered. His charisma, joy and love created a one-of-a-kind presence that could light up any room or brighten any dark day.”

No details were yet known about the cause of his death. The Baltimore Sun first reported the news Sunday morning.

But speaking to NBC Sports at the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe, Nevada on Friday, he spoke about the team’s chance to win a third consecutive NFL championship.

“We got Xavier Worthy. We got Marquise Brown. We got some dogs,” marveled Kelce. ”We got some unbelievable talent [and] some great coaches — and obviously the front office that brings it all together. We’ve got the full arsenal over there in Kansas City.

“You’ve got to revamp the team every single year. You’ve got to remold the team. Hopefully, out in St. Joe, we can get a head start on that. And then throughout the course of the season — as you saw last year — we [can get] better as the season [goes] on.
