Life is good when you’re Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Kelce just won back-to-back Super Bowls, he’s the greatest and highest-paid all-time at his position, he has one of the most popular sports podcasts on the internet, and he’s in a committed relationship with the world’s biggest pop star.

So when Kelce appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Thursday and said that he feels like he’s on top of the mountain, I imagine he’s talking about Mt. Everest… if Mt. Everest were on the moon.

At the end of the interview, he was asked how good his life was on a scale of 1 to 10.

“20 — [maybe] a hundred,” answered Kelce.

One might wonder what else is left to do with all this success.

Well actually, quite a lot.

Earlier this offseason, news broke indicating Kelce will star in Ryan Murphy’s new horror series on FX, “Grotesquerie.” Murphy is best known for creating another FX horror hit, “American Horror Story.

While it might seem like Kelce has everything in control, he told “Good Morning America” that acting in this capacity is pretty far outside of his comfort zone.

“I’ve been on a few shows before, [but] I’ve only been myself in those shows. It’s definitely different portraying a character and trying to find the emotions, in everything, and the understanding of a script and a scene, I feel like an amateur right now.”

Considering that his background is in sports and not a thespian, it’s understandable for Kelce to feel like a fish out of water, but being an athlete has given him an advantage in one aspect of this endeavor.

“I’m coachable,” laughed Kelce. “That’s one thing I know from being in sports.”

I imagine hosting his weekly podcast with his older brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, has also helped Kelce become more comfortable with trying new things.

Kelce said the success of their podcast took him by surprise.

“When I tell you I couldn’t have even imagined it would get to the point where it is today — I’m so fortunate that everybody kind of latched on to me and my brother’s family dynamic.”

Part of the appeal of “New Heights” is the brotherly affection that rings true in each episode. Despite being very different people, you can tell that Jason and Travis love each other.

“He’s the Neanderthal that wears flip-flops in the winter,” joked the Chiefs tight end, “and I like to throw on fashionable stuff and have fun.”

Despite all of the success he’s seen, Kelce said the most important thing is to remain grounded.

“When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect in life that much easier — off the field I just want to be a genuine person.”

That… and winning a third straight Super Bowl Ring.
