On Wednesday morning, the Kansas City Chiefs returned to their field at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph for another practice of the team’s 2024 training camp.

This was the ninth of 19 public sessions on the practice field next to MWSU’s Spratt Stadium. Nine of the remaining practices will be open to the public — click here for details and a full schedule — while one more will be open only to the team’s Season Ticket Members.

Arrowhead Pride’s editor-in-chief Pete Sweeney was there. Pete posted some observations on social media — starting with the beginning of a hot streak.

It was a busy day in the medical tent.

There was, however, some good news.

The team ran a long-drive drill.

We almost saw a behind-the-backer.

The defense was making it tough on Mahomes.

Here’s the quarterback’s pass activity log.

The first-round rookie continues to get the starts at left tackle.

Pete made notes on the one-on-ones.

And the second-team offensive line.

And how the defensive backs rotated.

Deneric Price still seems to be the No. 2 behind Pacheco.

There are still a lot of guys snagging kickoffs

Thursday’s session will begin at 9:15 a.m. Arrowhead Time. It will be open to the public. As always, we will have live updates after practice begins. After it concludes, offensive coordinator Matt Nagy will be speaking with reporters.
