Dario Saric agrees deal with Denver Nuggets
As reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Dario Saric has agreed to a two-year contract with the Denver Nuggets. The veteran forward spent last season with the Golden State Warriors. He provided size and scoring to Steve Kerr’s frontcourt. However, the front office decided not to retain his services heading into the summer.
Saric appeared in 64 games for Steve Kerr’s team last season. He averaged 8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 46.6% from the field and 37.6% from 3-point range. He will now have the opportunity to contend for a championship on Mike Malone’s team, presumably coming off the bench as part of the second unit.
Golden State has struggled for size in the frontcourt in recent seasons. Losing Saric will be a blow to their overall presence in the paint and on the glass.

The Warriors appear to be taking a slight change of direction and likely didn’t see Saric as a potential piece of their new puzzle.
