Recently, archaeologists discovered a tomb with two strange sets of remains dating back more than 4,000 years in Kazakhstan.

According to The Sun, scientists made this historic discovery in an ancient burial site consisting of 5 hills in the remote Karaganda region of Kazakhstan. When they dug up the grave, they discovered two sets of remains, but the special thing was that they were hugging each other. And they consider it the ancient “Romeo and Juliet” pair.

Romeo and Juliet are two characters in the tragedy by the great English writer, William Shakespeare. Nowadays, the names Romeo and Juliet are often used to refer to young lovers who are in the budding and intense stage. But unexpectedly, thousands of years ago, ancient people also had such passionate love relationships.

The two sets of remains were discovered lying next to each other, facing each other.

It is known that this young couple was 16-18 years old when they died and they were most likely descendants of noble families. They were buried embracing each other to go to the afterlife together.

So far, archaeologists have not yet determined the cause of the couple’s death, but have plans to carefully study the two sets of remains.

Most likely they were of noble lineage because there were many valuable things buried with them.

In addition, people also discovered gold and bronze treasures buried next to the young couple. The girl also wears two gold bracelets on each arm, pendants shaped like the sun. The finger wears a precious gold ring shaped like an earring.

Archaeological researcher Igor Kukushkin said the boy and girl were placed facing each other. Most likely they were of noble lineage because there were many valuable things buried with them.
