Dolphins guard competition – Miami Dolphins News 7/1/24

The Miami Dolphins watched guard Robert Hunt walk out the door to join the Carolina Panthers this offseason as they paid him a ton of money. Hunt turned into a solid guard for the Dolphins and like Christian Wilkins, this loss is going to sting. Many fans were hoping to see the Dolphins signed some viable veterans or draft a promising guard prospect to shore up the inside of the offensive line. The team did not do that though and are rolling with guys who were on the roster last season. Isaiah Wynn should slot back into the left guard spot, but the only problem with him is that he can never stay healthy. As for right guard we have Liam Eichenberg, Robert Jones, Lester Cotton, and Jack Driscoll, who is the newcomer. Dolphins fans are pretty familiar with the first three and it’s obvious to see why they are concerned considering none of the three were that great when in the lineup.
