Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa Looks Completely Unrecognizable In Recent Video

May 31, 2024

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa is looking pretty unrecognizable these days.

During the offseason, Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel revealed that Tua had lost weight ahead of the season to be lighter on his feet on the field.

“We were not on an offseason weight program last year — it was strength. So him getting stronger and the unintended consequences for him personally and he saw his game, his strength increased but he felt like he could have the same amount of strength and kind of reshape his body and be a little lighter on his feet.”

“He can maintain those strength gains while also being a little more limber in the pocket,” McDaniel said Tuesday. “I think is what’s drove him to kind of attack that, which he’s done a great job of.”

On Thursday night, Tua was seen for the first time in public after his weight loss and he looked completely unrecognizable.

Apparently Tua was also clean-shaven for the first time in a long time.

With the World Series of Poker kicking off in Las Vegas all eyes in the poker world are on the Horseshoe / Paris in Las Vegas where the world’s best, including Daniel Negreanu, will battle on the felt for millions and millions of dollars.

Daniel Negreanu aka Kid Poker is one of the biggest if not THE biggest celebrities in poker. He has over 250 WSOP cashes for over $22.1 million in earnings. Daniel has won 6 World Series of Poker bracelets and 1 ring. And his daily vlogs during the WSOP are must-watch material for every poker fan.

Recently, Negreanu sat down with Damian from ‘High Performance’ to discuss his secrets to reading tells and body language at the poker table. He is arguably the best in the world at reading a person. Some of the best poker players in the world tell stories about meeting Daniel and him being able to read them like a book within the first minute. So it’s fascinating to hear him break down exactly what he’s looking for when reading tells which, for the most part, is anything out of the norm:

It is easy to fancy yourself a very discerning person, someone who pays careful attention to details, until you watch Daniel Negreanu break down what he’s looking for when reading tells. The man is a machine. It is like he’s a cyborg constantly scanning you with his eyes for anything and everything out of place.

Negreanu is also pretty good at calling out very obvious tells. One he points out is how people VERY OFTEN do a quick glance at their stack of chips when they see the flop. If that happens, they like it and you need to be wary of the bet unless you’re also sitting quite strong.

Of course, if you don’t have the gift of reading someone like Daniel Negreanu you could always attempt to emulate him and go vegan. He’s been a vegan since 2003 and has maintained his status as one of the best tournament poker players on earth over the past few decades.

For anyone playing in their first World Series of Poker this year, this is for you. Negreanu and PokerCoaching.com coach Jonathan Little discuss advice for first-time WSOP players:

Good luck out there!
