LeBron James sits at the top of many NBA rankings.

Notably, he’s the league’s all-time leading scorer and has averaged 27.1 points per game in his career.

However, he’s never been considered to be a true or pure scorer.

That has always bothered him, and he’s constantly gone out of his way to let people know that.

That’s why it wasn’t surprising to see him laugh on X after Bleacher Report shared an insane stat about his career.

James has only had eight games scoring in single digits, yet he has almost twice as many games scoring at least 50 points.

Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long before his fans flooded the post to let him know how much they admire him, and they believe this is yet another argument for his GOAT case.

The “LeBron isn’t a true scorer” narrative is mostly based on the eye test, as he doesn’t have crafty moves, has never been an elite shooter, and has done most of his damage with drives and dunks.

That might not be pretty, but it’s still efficient, and scorers find ways to score, so he’s most definitely an elite scorer.

Whether that stat makes him the GOAT is a whole different story.

For context, Michael Jordan has 13 single-digit games, but he had 31 games of 50 points or more.

Also, he never scored in single digits in the playoffs and had 50 at least eight times, whereas LeBron has had two single-digit playoff games with just one 50-point performance in the playoffs.

At the end of the day, fan bases will nitpick to favor their case, which is why there’s no point in the GOAT debate anymore.
