The New York Jets are going to do whatever it takes to show the league that trading for Aaron Rodgers was the right decision.  The only way they do that?  Win the Super Bowl.

The Jets have done a lot to build their roster around Rodgers this off-season.  Now they’ve added one more weapon who will fight to make a spot on the roster.

According to Brandon Smith’s agent:

After working out for the #Chiefs, #Jets, & #Ravens over the past 2 weeks, my client, XFLDefenders WR Brandon Smith (@_BSmith12), is signing with the New York Jets. #JetUp

Although Smith didn’t play in the regular season, Cowboys fans got a chance to see him a lot during the 2021 and 2022 preseasons. With a height of 6’2″ and a weight of 220 pounds, Smith has an impressive frame.

It would have to be his toe-tap catch against the Seattle Seahawks in the 2022 preseason that stands out as the highlight of his NFL career so far. When he got his hands on a well-placed ball, the 24-year-old showed exceptional awareness.

It will be interesting to see if Smith can make enough noise to crack the 53-man roster.
