Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl rings include plenty of diamonds, and a Miami Dolphins typo

The Kansas City Chiefs celebrated Super Bowl LVIII with a ring ceremony on Thursday, the third since drafting Patrick Mahomes in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. While there are 529 diamonds, 38 rubies, and 14.8 carats of gems in each ring — they also seem to include a typo.

With Kansas City’s path to the Super Bowl listed inside the ring, the Miami Dolphins are labeled as the AFC’s seventh seed, instead of the sixth. It was a seed Miami earned after losing three of five games to close the regular season.

The Chiefs toppled the Dolphins 26-7 in one of the coldest games in NFL history. Temperatures reached -4 degrees Fahrenheit at Arrowhead Stadium. Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-7) were the seventh seed and lost to No. 2 Buffalo 31-17 in the Wildcard Round.

Kansas City’s playoff run included six-straight wins, capped by a 25-22 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl. The Dolphins have been unable to escape the first round, but continue to knock on the door with four consecutive winning seasons.
