Nikola Jokic Was WAY More Excited To Win Bronze Medal Than NBA Title During Lit Serbian Party
Nikola Jokic loves Serbia and Serbia loves Nikola Jokic. The 29-year-old point center was way more excited to win a bronze medal at the Olympics than he was when the Nuggets won an NBA title.
His joy was contagious!
Jokic, who only moved to the United States after being drafted by Denver in 2015, grew up in a two-bedroom apartment with his two brothers, his parents and his grandmother in the city of Sombor. His professional career began in his home country as a young teenager. It means everything to him.
That was clear on Saturday in France. Jokic put on a triple-double masterclass in Serbia’s hard-fought victory over Germany and locked down a third-place finish at the Olympics.
The party was on as soon as the clock hit zero and the team bus was rocking.

Serbia immediately went to the bar after their win. A shirtless Jokic was at the center of the fun.

Although the beer was flowing, Team Serbia had to straighten up for the medal ceremony. They returned to the arena later in the afternoon after partying all day and barely held it together.

Jokic was having a blast.
The three-time NBA MVP was not anywhere close to as happy when Denver won the NBA Finals in 2023. He was furious that he was stuck in America through the championship parade and just wanted to go home. A photo of Jokic awkwardly standing by himself with a beer while the Nuggets partied in the locker room pretty much summed it up.
His reaction to the NBA title presented a stark contrast to his reaction to the bronze medal. Jokic did not seem to care about Denver’s win, where as a third-place finish at the Olympics in Paris was a highlight.
To make the entire thing even funnier, he was back in Serbia to watch horse racing less than 24 hours later.
