On Wednesday, Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh gave injury updates on a few players in training camp, beginning with outside linebacker Malik Hamm, who was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week.

“Malik was doing so well. [He’s a] local guy, really, had the injury last year and it’s so amazing because you go back and watching the tape until when the injury happened, he was having a great practice,” Harbaugh said. “He had numerous run-stops, he had a sack, and then just a freaky little thing where he kind of put his foot in the ground and got pushed a little bit right at that moment and sometimes that’s what happens with the ACL. He has a clean ACL tear so it does mean he’s out for the season but it also means it bodes well for his recovery. Now, his spirits were very upbeat [and] positive about the tests he’s going to be going through. The tests he’s going to make and when it’s all said and done, but I’m sure he’s very disappointed when he’s back in a quiet moment by himself. He was going to play for us this year. But his time will be coming.”

Another Raven dealing with injury is cornerback Trayvon Mullen, who suffered a shoulder injury after landing on it in practice on Saturday, July 27.

“Trayvon Mullen landed on his shoulder, sublexed it, so it will be a few weeks and we expect him to be back,” Harbaugh said.

The final player Harbaugh gave an update on is wide receiver Rashod Bateman, who exited practice early on Monday.

“Yeah, [Bateman] is dealing with issue—a little soft tissue issue I think he’s trying to nurse through it right now,” Harbaugh said.
