August 21, 2024

Prior to the 2024-25 NBA season, Bleacher Report previewed the highest-paid NBA players in the league.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry received tremendous praise for his spot on the list in the comments.

Curry is set to be paid $55.7 million for the 2024-25 season.

The 36-year-old signed a four-year, $215 million deal in August of 2021. He’s entering his third year of the contract and will be an unrestricted free agent in 2026.

NBA fans believe he should get the money he’s being paid, and many believe, given his lengthy resume, he deserves even more. The post from Bleacher Report has over 730 comments and 70.5k likes just two hours after its release.

The consensus in the comments from NBA fans believes Curry is still underpaid and deserves more, given his impact on the Warriors.

“Curry at one and still the best contract in the NBA,” said a fan.

“Curry is severely underpaid,” commented another fan.

“Curry worth every penny,” commented one fan.

“Steph deserves 100M,” said another fan with laughing emojis.

“Curry still underpaid and he can get that 60 mil,” mentioned another fan.

Curry’s long list of accolades includes being a two-time NBA MVP, four-time NBA champion and ten-time NBA All-Star.

Stephen Curry may be getting over $55 million, but a couple of other superstars have come close to that level of annual payment level.

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic is tied with Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid for the No. 2 slot at $51.4 million.

The Phoenix Suns have three players in the top 10 annual salaries: Kevin Durant at No. 4 with $51.1 million, Bradley Beal at No. 5 with $50.2 million and Devin Booker at No. 6 with $49.2 million.
