Stephen Curry Continues Championship Tour
Stephen Curry had a busy summer, and his appearances haven’t slowed since. The Golden State Warriors superstar supported the ladies as he attended the Women’s US Open Finals on Saturday. Ultimately, Belarusian native Aryna Sabalenka won the match against Jessica Pegula. It’s not the first time Curry has supported women athletes, as he has attended multiple Women’s Team USA games during the Paris Olympics.
Furthermore, Curry competed against New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu in a unique one-on-one 3-point shooting competition during the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend game, winning by a close margin of 29-26.
Curry needed championship experiences as the Warriors missed the playoffs for the third time since 2020. Although the Warriors won 46 games, the brutal Western Conference playoff couldn’t care less about their regular-season effort.
However, the Paris Olympics rejuvenated Curry. His first and only Olympic campaign ended with a gold medal primarily due to his eight 3-point shots converted against Paris in the final game.

It’s apparent Curry has an appetite for watching greatness, as he’s used to the atmosphere of a winning team.
The Warriors failed to secure a superstar, or even an All-Star, to pair with Curry, but the front office did sign quality role players such as Kyle Anderson and Buddy Hield. Will such players make a difference in a Western Conference prepping for a Ja Morant return to the Memphis Grizzlies or an improved Sacramento Kings squad?
Curry signed a one-year extension this past summer, but don’t expect the four-time champion to settle his championship appetite for another playoff-less season.
