“Be strong Rosie! Uncle Maui loves you,” the actor nicknamed The Rock sent words of encouragement to a baby with Down syndrome.

“My child has Down syndrome, what can I expect? This, 100% this,” Jason wrote next to a photo of a smiling Rosie.

After receiving more than 90,000 likes, Jason continued to share his daughter’s journey, from hospitalizations to her love for the animated film Moana produced by Disney.

“Rosie and I watch Moana every day,” Jason revealed. He posted a photo of his daughter breathing an oxygen tank and still attentively watching the movie. The father also thanked Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the voice actor for the character Maui, for inspiring and helping Rosie become stronger.

In response, Dwayne Johnson also posted a photo of Rosie and sent a message: “Look at this adorable cookie. Be strong Rosie! Uncle Maui loves you.”

The actor also quoted a line from a song in the movie: “I don’t know what to say except I’m very pleased.”

For Jason, Dwayne Johnson’s actions were “really cool”. The father revealed that many other parents have thanked him for being open about Rosie, thereby comforting those who just learned their child has Down syndrome.
