Troy Aikman Makes Special Offer to Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift has quickly become a popular figure in the NFL circles due to her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
With the Chiefs defeating the Baltimore Ravens in the season opener on Thursday night, Swift caught plenty of attention and eyeballs on social media.
Her fame in the NFL circles has spread rapidly in less than one calendar year, and it doesn’t seem to be subsiding anytime soon.
“Monday Night Football” broadcaster Troy Aikman has made a unique offer to Swift, something he mentioned in an episode of the “Sports Media with Richard Deitsch” podcast.
Aikman said they would have Swift on for an interview if the opportunity presents itself.
“Are you kidding me? We’ll escort her up,” Aikman said. “There’s no doubt that if we could get her on ‘Monday Night Football’ in the booth, we would interview her, and we’d have a place for her to sit, and she could take as long as she wanted. I say that; now my producer may feel otherwise.”
The Taylor Swift effect has swept the country quickly, and it seems every Chiefs game brings plenty of attention to the pop star.
On Thursday night, the “Sunday Night Football” X account had a video of Swift as she was spotted to begin the 2024 campaign.

While not everybody is on board with Swift’s popularity during NFL games, Aikman said he doesn’t mind it one bit.
“I loved it, quite honestly,” Aikman said. “I loved it. I think that the fact that a generation of people got exposed to the NFL that, in all likelihood, wouldn’t have otherwise, I think is really positive. I think it’s fair to say the NFL liked it. I just wish we had more Chiefs games.”
Aikman and Joe Buck did not call a “Monday Night Football” game involving the Chiefs on ESPN last season. The Week 15 game with the New England Patriots was flexed out of the time window.
This season, the Chiefs play on “Monday Night Football” in Week 5 against the New Orleans Saints and Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so it will be worth watching to see if Aikman can bring Swift in for an interview.
