Tua Tagovailoa: Narrative Dolphins Can't Beat Bills Will Stay 'Until We Do Beat Them' | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors | Bleacher Report
The Buffalo Bills will travel to face the Miami Dolphins in an early-season divisional matchup on Thursday night. Despite the two teams consistently competing for playoff spots in recent years, their head-to-head matchups have been quite one- sided.
Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has faced the Bills seven times in his career, and is 1-6 against Buffalo in those games. Heading into Thursday, Tagovailoa responded to fans and experts that believe him and his team can’t beat the Bills.
“That’s gonna be what’s written out there until we do something about that, that’s going to be the narrative, that we can’t beat the Bills,” Tagovailoa said. “Until we do beat them, and beat them consistently, none of that’s going to change. We have an opportunity to do that this year, we have an opportunity to do that this Thursday.”
Tagovailoa accepted that it is up to him and the team to change that narrative themselves. In his seven starts against Buffalo, Tagovailoa has thrown for 1,454 yards, six touchdowns and seven interceptions.
However, on the other side of the ball they will be facing quarterback Josh Allen, who is looking to uphold the other side of the narrative. In his 12 starts against Miami, Allen has thrown for 3,363 yards, 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

The teams are set to face off in Miami at 8:15 P.M. EST on Thursday. The Dolphins offense may have to especially rely on Tagovailoa, as the team has ruled running back Raheem Mostert out for the game, and claim fellow running back De’Von Achane will be a game-time decision.
