One of the best offenses in the NFL during the 2023 campaign, the Miami Dolphins capitalized on their success during the offseason by adding to the squad and signing their best players to lucrative long-term contract extensions.

Dolphins brass made the intelligent decision to make sure the futures of Tua Tagovailoa, Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill were secure before the start of the 2024 NFL season, which seems to be the right way to go because if it isn’t broken, then don’t fix it.

Along with making those three stars very happy with their situations in Miami, the Dolphins made a solid addition by signing wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., which should make the passing game that much more intimidating moving forward.

However, Beckham does come with a fair amount of baggage, as he’s had his issues off the field while also struggling with injuries, including a torn ACL in the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams a few years ago.

It appears Beckham hasn’t been able to shake those injury issues, as he will start the upcoming season on the PUP list, meaning he’ll miss at least the first four games of the season.

Asked about Beckham ahead of Week 1, Hill may have slipped up by admitting he hasn’t seen his new teammate lately, which isn’t a great sign.

“I haven’t seen Odell in about a week,” Hill said, via David Furones of the Sun Sentinel. “I’m not supposed to say that, or what?”

This could indicate that Beckham is trying to get his body right from home with a personal trainer, or he could be disgruntled that he didn’t want to start the season on the PUP list but the Dolphins made the move anyway.

There will probably be a reaction to this statement by Hill, and Miami has to be hoping it doesn’t become a problem or distraction heading into the regular season.
