Will Daeqwon Plowden emerge as a steal for the Warriors?
The Golden State Warriors have signed Daeqwon Plowden to a two-way contract after some impressive performances at the Las Vegas Summer League and California Classic. Plowden, 25, is averaging 16.6 points per game across the two Summer League events, shooting 48% from deep.
Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Joe Lacob are likely hoping that Plowden can become the next member of the Santa Cruz Warriors production line. Gary Payton II, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Lester Quinones are recent success stories from the Warriors talent factory in the G-League. Plowden will likely spend the majority of his time with Santa Cruz but could make occasional appearances in the NBA.
In a recent video by “Vonsanity” on YouTube, the host discussed why Plowden could emerge as a steal for the Warriors. He pinpointed Plowden’s scoring and diverse skillset as a reason why he could challenge for a spot in Steve Kerr’s rotation in the future.
